The Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD) is a not-for-profit arts institution located in Midtown Detroit. My team was challenged to rethink and relaunch the digital experience as a part of MOCAD’s 10-year anniversary.
Previously, MOCAD's page was text-heavy and had few images – a far cry from the stunning aesthetic that MOCAD itself curates. Our challenge was to update the website to match the vibrancy and energy of the museum itself and bring that life into the digital world. We accomplished this by creating a custom, image-rich website that highlights each feature that MOCAD offers in a beautiful and exciting way, turning the site itself into an extension of the building and an invitation to come take a closer look.
